YB Green® is an “urbancycled” brand of jewelry made from glass that would otherwise be wasted in landfills but instead transformed into eco-bling.  In 2009, YB Green was created to raise awareness that the City of New Orleans has not recycled glass since Hurricane Katrina and there is a community need for it.  YB Green collects glass bottles from the 9th Ward in New Orleans, and then it is crushed, melted and designed into jewelry.
